In 2001, the company began to establish joint ventures with other manufacturers such as Citroen and Peugeot. The late 2000’s brought about much struggle for the company, however. There was financial crisis and Toyota reported a staggering four billion dollar loss in 2009. The tragedy did not stop there, however. A massive recall led to more than two million dollars is loss of output and sales. Toyota is again striving to regain consumer trust by making things right. Throughout the years, Toyota has remained a leading competitor among vehicle manufacturers. Even if you do not purchase a new Toyota, you can trust that your used vehicle will stand the test of time.
